Right off the bat have to say I never smelled the private line version, so I can’t say about any changes or drift. I did smell the aqua, which I did like, but felt it smelled too designer to be on the private line.

When this went to the signature line, with the added notes, in a night which I was 4 drinks in I went online and pulled the trigger, blind bought it. And it came today!

On the tester strip, really liked it, kinda in the league of acqua di gio perfumo (it doesn’t smell like that, wait for it) where it’s balancing a light aquatic with some heavy notes to give it more depth.

Opening on my skin, the wood notes jumped out at me, but after a few minutes it settled down and the nice balance was back.

It still smells a little designerish to me, but I do believe it is solid and warrants the price. Projection and longevity are decent, not beast mode, but pretty good.

My issue with it is when I started thinking out best times to wear it…signature? Sure, but if I were to have a signature scent there are other things I’d pick….office? Definitely but I’d pick x, y, z before it….date/night? Absolutely but I’d probably wear…..see where I’m going with this?

Not a dumb reach fragrance by any means, and again solid purchase, but not anything jaw dropping, must have. If I had to assign a number value to rate it….hmmm….firm 7/10
